TheEpiphone Futura Firebird Custom is a high-performance evolution of one of the most provocative shapes in guitar history. Originally drafted by legendary automotive designer Ray Dietrich, the Firebirds “reverse” silhouette was inspired by the bold tailfins of 1950s classic cars and the angular Gibson Explorer. This modern “Inspired by Gibson” interpretation retains that vintage rebellious spirit while introducing a sculpted mahogany body and a contoured back. Whether you are chasing the historic blues-rock growl of Johnny Winter or looking to make a modern visual statement, this Firebird is built to perform on every stage.

This isn’t just a museum piece; its a tonal powerhouse loaded with forward-thinking features. It is powered by Epiphones new ProBucker Ignite humbuckers, which provide punchy, articulate tones with massive headroom. For the player who needs maximum versatility, the electronics include push/pull volume and tone controls that unlock coil-splitting and phase switching. From thick, saturated leads to glass-like single-coil cleans, this guitar offers a wide sonic palette that allows you to stand out from the crowd both sonically and visually.
