VINTAGE 1920’s Leedy 5×14 Engraved Black Elite Snare Drum

VINTAGE 1920’s Leedy 5x14Engraved Black Elite Snare Drum

• Vintage Snare Drum.

• Size: 5×14.

• Details & Notes: Iconic. Inspiring. Influential. This 20’s brass snare drum is one of a few drums to spawn the innovation, design, and character of some of the most beloved drums of the modern day. Elegant in every way, from the gold hardware, to the sleek black shell with fine engravings. Perfectly aged, and in a way that shows the drum was loved and played. Two few rods are unoriginal with one being a flat head screw substitute. The batter calf head shows a life of play, while the resonant calf has succumbed to time and split at the collar. The two point throw with the extendable arm is missing the small screw to hold the arm at length when extended. Some may look at these as flaws, but on a drum like this it shows the love and life that has gone intothisbeautiful instrument’s use. Set up with snappy snares from a day long past. Overall an extraordinary piece.

• *Used and vintage snares are on display in our showroom. Snares may show fingerprints or stick marks from being tested and demoed, or disclosed signs of wear from previous owners*
